Benesch is pleased to announce that Juan Morado Jr., a partner in the firm’s Healthcare Practice Group, has been selected as a 2026 Notable Leader in Healthcare by Crain’s Chicago Business. This recognition highlights Juan’s outstanding accomplishments, leadership and meaningful contributions to Chicago’s healthcare community.
The annual list honors healthcare professionals whose dedication, vision and commitment to excellence set a high standard across the industry. Honorees are selected through a competitive peer nomination and editorial review process, underscoring their professional achievements and impact on the healthcare sector.

Juan advises health systems, hospitals, physician groups, pharmacies and healthcare businesses on regulatory compliance, complex transactions, and internal and government investigations. He has led large teams of attorneys on multimillion-dollar matters, supporting the development or acquisition of over 25 hospitals, dozens of ambulatory surgical centers, long-term care facilities and multiple medical office buildings. He regularly secures regulatory approval for complex ownership changes, helping to expand access to care and accelerate growth for health systems and physician groups.
In addition to his practice, Juan serves as National Chair of the firm’s Inclusion & Opportunity Committee and is deeply involved in the community. He serves as Board Director and Vice-President of La Casa Norte, a Chicago-based organization that provides housing for children and families facing homelessness. Juan is also Chair Emeritus of the Latino Leadership Council and holds board positions with the Metropolitan Pier Exposition Authority, Hispanic Lawyers Association of Illinois, National Kidney Foundation of Illinois, HLAI Charities and the We CAN Achieve Foundation.
