Blubaugh Elected President of the Columbus Roundtable of the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals

COLUMBUS, OH – May 7, 2009 – Benesch is pleased to announce that partner Marc S. Blubaugh has been elected President of the Columbus Roundtable of the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP) for 2009 – 2010. His term will begin July 1, 2009.
Founded in 1963, CSCMP is the preeminent worldwide professional association dedicated to the advancement and dissemination of research and knowledge on supply chain management. With over 8,500 members representing nearly all industry sectors, government, and academia from 67 countries, CSCMP members are the leading practitioners and authorities in the fields of logistics and supply chain management.
Mr. Blubaugh represents international and domestic third-party logistics providers (transportation brokers, freight forwarders, warehousemen, etc.), carriers of all modes, and shippers and consignees in surface, air and ocean disputes. He litigates throughout the U.S. in both state and federal courts, handling complex commercial disputes involving loss of goods, damage to goods, delay damages, and personal injuries arising out of the transportation of goods. He also represents clients in actions relating to freight charges, fuel surcharges, breaches of intermodal agreements, subrogation and indemnification against others in the supply chain, and other commercial controversies, such as employment disputes, lease disputes, unfair trade practices litigation, general contract litigation, and administrative disputes. As Vice-Chair of the firm’s Transportation & Logistics Practice Group, Mr. Blubaugh routinely consults for transportation and logistics industry clients on a wide variety of business issues, including contract improvement, best practices, acquisition opportunities and regulatory advice. He has published transportation and logistics articles in international, national and local media and speaks regularly at industry events throughout North America.
